The Mesh Rug is a multifunctional product and extremely popular. We sell more Mesh Rugs than all our other horse rugs put together! During the summer months the Mesh Rug is the perfect blanket because of its optimal breathable qualities, thanks to the sturdy and very airy mesh that covers a layer of thin ceramic fabric which offers full protection. The Mesh Rug may be used both as an extra rug underneath, as a transportation rug, as cooler and in the horse box during the warmer months.
Because the Mesh Rug may be used under other blankets, you will make use of it all year round. Thus the rug is also protected by a regular exterior blanket. The rug may be used to great advantage prior to exercise/competition in order to warm up the muscles as well as following exercise/competition to help the muscles recover/recuperate. By using the whole rug you may achieve the Back on Track healing effect on chest, back, quarter and loin muscles.
The Mesh Rug has a lining of polypropylene fabric infused with melted ceramic powder. On the exterior, the rug has a thin mesh layer for maximum breathing qualities. The Mesh Rug is strengthened along the neck opening with polyester and has soft quilting around the withers. The rug has double chest buckles and criss-crossed belly surcingles (pop closures). There is a large tail flap with a tail strap and loops for the leg ties. The rug has a better fit than the other blankets due to the mesh fabric's stretch qualities.
How Back on Track works
Back on Track's joint and muscle support are all made of functional textiles with heat reflective properties. The textile is a synergy of ancient Chinese experience and modern scientific textile technology. During the manufacturing of polyester- or polyester fibres, the ceramic particles are fused into the fibres. When heated, the ceramic particles radiate a heat back towards the body. This reflected heat is long-wave heat radiation, which is also known as long wave infrared radiation.
Heat Radiation
It is well established and documented that long wave infrared heat radiation increases the blood circulation. The increased blood circulation in the tissues helps to relieve muscles tension and improves performance. One important property is the injury prevention effect, which you get when the protections are used for training and competition.
Returns, Exchanges, Complaints & Guarantees

There is no need to contact us prior to sending an item back. However, please include your name, address and reason for return/request for exchange. For your convenience there is a Returns Form located on our HomePage. This form can be submitted online or printed off to be posted with your item.
Refunds will be made for any items returned (at customers expense) which are in saleable condition, not damaged, and in original packaging within 14 days of receiving them. Exchanges and Credit Notes will be given up to 30 days. P&P at £2.50 (orders under 1kg) and £4.95 (orders over 1kg) will be charged for items sent back out.
We will refund in full or replace items like for like, but reserve the right to withhold 20% of the purchase price if the product or packaging is in such a condition that the item is not fully resalable. This maybe increased to 50% in the event an item is dirty or damaged. Please note that any item brought in a 'sale' cannot be exchanged or refunded and is deemed to have been purchased as seen. However, items brought in an 'online sale' can be exchanged for a credit note within 30 days of purchase.
Goods becoming damaged in your opinion through defective materials, poor workmanship or during carriage should be notified immediately and returned for inspection in not more than 7 days. Under no circumstances should items continue to be used when damaged, as you will be deemed to have accepted the goods in their damaged condition. Where justified damage has occurred P&P fees will be reimbursed. Any orders that do not involve damaged or defective goods will not be eligible for P&P refund.
Please note due to reasons of hygiene and safety we are unable to exchange or accept the return of certain 'Gel' items once they have been in contact with a horse.
Couriers
Please note if an instruction is given to leave an order 'in a safe place' and therefore delivered without a signature the couriers insurance is invalidated. Horse Health cannot be held responsible if the goods are lost under these circumstances.
Product Guarantee
A guarantee of one year is given on all LeMieux Lambskin products, provided they have been washed & dried in the recommended way and have not been exposed to excessive use. This will be determined once items have been returned, at customers expense, for inspection. Items being returned under the terms of this guarantee are only eligible for like-for-like replacement and not refund. All other products are sold under individual manufacturers guarantees where applicable.

Specific instructions for use on horses and dogs
Keep in mind that the effect of Back and Track increases with movement when the body heat increases, so in addition to using pads and blankets in the stables, the horse can also be allowed to move around with the Back on Track products. Especially suitable in this context is Riding Boots, Bandages, Saddle Pads, Exercise Rug and Exercise Machine Rug.
For long term problems, the horse may need to use Back on Track for an extended period. Use the product for two to three weeks and have a break one week, to see if the symptoms persist.
As a preventive measure, Back on Track can be used with regular breaks. Use Back on Track 1 day before and 2 days after exercise and then stop until the next workout. For warm-up, use 1-2 hours before and 2-4 hours after exercise.
For dogs, one often uses the standard Dog Rug, which is rain repellent and breaths. However, it should be noted that for long-running problems, Back on Track should be used for several weeks, at least 8 hours per day, with regular breaks in order to achieve the desired results. This means that the dog can use the rug day and night, indoor as well as outdoor, 24/7. If being used at night, it is probably more comfortable for the dog to wear the Mesh Rug, which is more adaptable. Alternatively, the dog may be provided with a mattress with "memory foam" or a cover of Back on Track to the sleeping basket. The foam part molds to the body shape and relieves a sore back.
