Leg Clays

The application of clay to horse's leg goes back to Roman times when the mounted divisions were recorded doing it on a regular basis! However, far from being old fashioned 'claying' horses is still popular today. The products available have evolved a little with the inclusion of such things as Arnica to counter bruising and some astringents to help tighten ligaments and tendons. Many people also use clay to set horses up post competition after initially applying ice, cold bandages or gel. The selection here includes old favorites from the USA but also an interesting addition from the makers of Kevin Bacon's called Sea Clay containing no less than 42 natural atomic elements from the Saint Laurent river in France!
