Product Description

LeMieux Half Lined GP/Jumping Numnah Black/Black

These top quality LeMieux Jumping/GP Numnahs are half lined lined with pure Australian Merino lambskin - the wool is much denser & softer than older sheep's wool commonly found. They have a clear spine and Swan-neck design that sweeps up at the wither relieving pressure on the spine and allowing air flow. The stiffer spine gives the Numnahs very good shape and stability under the saddle.

There is also a strengthened 'Signiature' girth protection area with double adjustable velcro straps for ease of saddle fitting. Available in six colour combinations: Natural wool/Black, Natural wool/White, Black wool/Black, Brown wool/Brown, Taupe wool/Brown and the new Grey wool/Grey.
Old horsemen used to say: There's 'nothing better for a horses back than natural wool' it promotes blood circulation - is fully breathable, maintaining optimum temperature in summer and winter - regulates humidity controlling the breeding of bacteria and skin irritations and prevents bruising, scarring, chaffing and pressure sores.

If washed carefully on a wool cycle (max 30 degrees), or by hand, with preferably WoolSkin (available from Horse Health) or non-biological powder or liquid these lambskin pads will give long service. We recommend that some  HUMAN HAIR CONDITIONER (ideally for dry hair) is  rubbed over the underside of the lambskin prior to placing in the machine. Always air dry or tumble on a cool setting. NEVER dry or place directly on a heat source.

Half lined (front & back rolled edges), Full Size (17.5" - 18") and Medium Size (16"-17")

Info and care

Wash carefully on a wool cycle (max 30 degrees), or by hand, with preferably WoolSkin (available from Horse Health) or non-biological powder or liquid. We recommend that some  HUMAN HAIR CONDITIONER (ideally for dry hair) is  rubbed over the underside of the lambskin prior to placing in the machine, but not if using WoolSkin. Always air dry or tumble on a cool setting. NEVER dry or place directly on a heat source.

NOTE: allow numnahs to dry out prior to washing and brush off any dried on sweat & dirt. This has always been the best way to manage lambskin on a daily basis. Washing is never as effective when the wool & skin are saturated and the wool can become damaged.
